Good day, Foto Friends.

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Lorell; I hope the surgery went well and she's on her way to recovery.

I've been working on more of the photos I took Sunday at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands.

1) This shot of a California Towhee took a lot of processing because all of the bird but the tail was in a rather dark shadow. I did the best I could with it...

2) Brown Pelican in non-breeding plumage and a Grebe of some sort...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi all. Everyone at work is getting sick with various respiratory diseases. I'm at home with a cold because I don't want to spread it around to vulnerable people. Otherwise, I feel fine.

Here is a picture of a yellow-billed cardinal in Hilo, Hawai'i fighting his reflection in a car mirror.

Ah the dreaded mirror bashers.
So many birds seem to spend their whole day attacking their own reflection.
I have a pair of mudlarks that spend so much time attacking all my windows and reflective services that I'm unsure how they find the time to feed themselves, let alone raise a brood.

Good to see you and your red headed mirror pecker, Darlene.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
