Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Don - 10-26-2024 Good morning all - hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. I was awake very early this morning and finally got up a little after 4 AM. I'll probably take a spin on the trike a bit later as the weather is pretty good. Already almost 60F and not even 5 AM. The weather forecast for both Prague and Budapest is looking good as well with mild temps and sunny days. Hope that holds.  Here are a few images from my recent trip to Texas, taken with the Lumix P&S. RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Dave - 10-26-2024 Very nice, Don, especially the deer. Here's one taken 10 or 11 days ago...     RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Man From Ironbark - 10-26-2024 Nice pinks from both of you. Don, that pink flower on a grey leaved bush. Do you know whether that was in a garden or in the wild? I'm of strong opinion that this is a native Australian plant. RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Man From Ironbark - 10-26-2024 Don't know how a double post occurred. It is deleted. Now to put something else in here. It is a red capped robin. RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - DesertDarlene - 10-27-2024 Went to find the Nene so I can get a picture, but I couldn't find them. They're having a loud concert nearby, so perhaps they went elsewhere. I guess those two are well-known in this area. The previous mate of the female was hit by a car fairly recently but seems to have found a new mate. Tomorrow, I hope to see and photograph an i'iwi and other forest birds. RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Luv2shoot - 10-28-2024 These photos are fantastic! RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Man From Ironbark - 10-28-2024 Thanks Lorell. RE: Weekender Oct 26-27 2024 - Dave - 10-29-2024 Thanks MFI & Lorell. MFI, I really like your photo of the red-capped robin. Ideal sharpness on that wonderfully colored bird. Darlene, good luck to you in finding the nene.
