TGIF everyone! I hope it is a good weekend for us all.

As I was returning home from yesterday's early walk my back was really hurting and I was hunched over; that's the only reason I noticed these small (less than 1 inch across or 2.5 cm) delicate blossoms...

Take care, my fellow Foto Friends.

Dave, awesome, they photographed delicate too! Take care of that back. Heading down to the Palace in a couple of hours to see a Battle of the Bands concert. One is from my era 50's and 60's music.

Nice photo Dave, of Convolvulus otherwise known as bindweed. Love the contrasts both strong and subtle.

Awww, Dave, sorry to hear about your back. You take it easy for a while so that you can resume your regular daily walks soon.
That is a nice composition of the delicate pastel lilac flowers.

Hey, Rich, it sounds like you are going to have fun tonight. Enjoy and bring us back some photographs.

I am excited about a photography opportunity tomorrow. I have decided that my lack of motivation in my photography craft is due to having to miss probably six of the last photo club outings due to my bad hip and inability to walk. However, tomorrow I will be going with a friend AND my daughter to visit the RESTORED Michigan Central Train Station. It was one of the most famous and beautiful buildings back in the day. When it closed, the building started to ROT AWAY until the Ford Motor Company decided to restore it to its original condition. It was a massive, high-priced undertaking that opened up to visitors about a month ago.

Some of our photoclub members were day for the opening day . For that weekend, you needed tickets. The site ticket site actually crashed when it first opened up online because of the demand for tickets from the public!wE

The lower level was restored first but now the stately building will be shutting its doors after LABOR day to begin work on the upper floors of the building. I am excited about this visit but have to admit, I am worried about the walk and my stamina. I wish I had a handicap sticker. My husband has one, but I do not feel like getting a ticket by using it illegally.

Here is a link to the website in case you cannot wait for my photographs.

I regret that I spent 2.5 hours trimming bushes and pulling weeds this morning because now I am paying the price and who knows what tomorrow brings. I may load up on pain killer though or IBIPROFEN.

Wish me luck.
LORELL

We sound like a lot of old crocks. Smile

Sympathies to all those who hurt.

Thanks for the kind reaction to my flower photo, folks.

Rich, enjoy the Battle of the Bands.

MFI, thank you for identifying the flower.

Lorell. I am sorry that your hip has limited your mobility so much, but glad your friend and daughter will accompany you to the train station. Don't over-exert yourself (and this bit of advice clearly falls into the "Do as I say, not as I do" category).

The reason for my back pain yesterday is that I was toting a much heavier load (a 64 oz thick glass container of apple cider and 2 smaller bottles of other juices along with some canned goods) than and didn't have things evenly balanced as I walked home.

But I am stubborn and will not give up my walks. The only concession I've had to make (so far) is that what should be a 45 minute walk may take 90 minutes on bad days.

My days of pushing myself are becoming more careful these days. I've hurt myself badly by going too hard. Besides, She Who Must Be Obeyed, is much slower than myslef these days so I have to go slow so she can keep up.
Stubborn as, we are both still enjoying our walks. This day in 2017, she had a stem cell transplant and it was one of those either it works and you live or it doesn't and you don't. However, she's still in remission.

One of the orchids we spotted on today's walk. Which was on some quite steep and rugged terrain.
Diuris maculata, Leopard orchid. Diuris have a general name of donkey orchid due to the ears..

The orchid flowers are small enough but this Slender Violet is simply tiny by comparison.

Here's an idea of the size of most of the terrestrial orchids we have locally. These being pink fingers or Caladenia carnea.
