Weekender Aug 3-4, 2024 - Don - 08-03-2024

Good morning all.

Before we get the weekender started, just a short bit about the "state of the forum". Kudos to Dave, Peter and Rich for pretty much keeping the forum alive. It appears that we have lost Patty since she hasn't posted in a year or so, and even Lorell hasn't posted for a month. It's been a year as well for Desert Darlene, but she has only posted 6 times since she joined. The rest of us at least get on occasionally. And so we trudge along.

I had hoped to take a trip down to the panhandle of Florida on my trike next week, but our dishwasher died so I have to hang around to take delivery next Wed and then get it installed. Today's task is to remove the broken dishwasher, which I am sure will be "fun". It has been a good one though, lasting over 30 years.

My dishwasher lasted 50 years before she refused to continue being my dishwasher and told me to wash them myself. Wink

Thanks for the info Don. I do miss the ladies and their feedback!
Peter, funny!

Here is another classic A 1948 Plymouth Coupe I believe. Interesting back seat driver and a bonus shadow of the photographer.

Yeah, Peter, that's what I'm doing now, at least until the new dishwasher comes in... washing them myself. Of course I usually clean up after meals anyway, washing pots and pans, etc. I did get the dishwasher out - and of course the valve that the supply line to the DW would not close correctly so I had to cap it off until I get the new one installed. Always something.

Nice old car Rich. I enjoyed seeing the photos from pre-Sturgis too. Never had a desire to do the Sturgis thing, but I would like to ride the area. Seems to be lots of really good places to ride in that area.
