the weekender - Man From Ironbark - 07-13-2024

It is already Saturday night and without Dave on deck, the place has been very quiet of late.
The light wasn't the best but I managedĀ  a few shots of some fun and games between my logal gang of apostlebird hoodlums stirring a lone sulphur crested cockatoo that merely wanted to nibble a couple of my walnuts before the nighttime roost.

Too bad for the Cockatoos snack! Good action shots!

Here are a couple of Parrots in Cartagena, Colombia.

Beautiful birds the blue/hyacith macaw

What's happened to everybody? It is now Tuesday where I am and there's nobody else posting.

This is a crested pigeon. The most widespread of the Australian doves and pigeons. It inhabits all but the most tropical part of Australia.

I agree - fine bird photos.

I remain without a working PC. The specific problem is a dead fan but there are enough other issues (very slow to boot, likely a corrupt Registry, possible failing RAM chips, etc.) that I think getting a brand new PC is a better option than fixing the old one.

I am always amazed at the variety of birds in this world!

Dave, I think you are right, a new PC is the best option!

Everything gets tired and old aged if it is lucky enough to live that long.
Sad to hear that your 'puter is on its death bed but look at it this way, a new one will have heaps more room on the hard drive.

I hope to get the replacement PC by the end of the week. Looking at a total RAM of 32 or 64 GB; won't need new monitor, keyboard, or mouse.

With 4 external hard drivesĀ (total storage of about 32 TB) I should be set for a while.

That's awesome!
