Thursday, December 14, 2023 - Luv2shoot - 12-14-2023
It has already been a busy Thursday for me, swim aerobics, grocery shopping, and laundry. When I finish here, I will go make some pasties for dinner. It takes over an hour to cut everything up and assemble them, then another hour to bake. My husband is in a bad habit of not eating until 2-3 pm and when that time rolls around is like a hungry bear.
I have been working on my photos for our Christmas party I have to submit 10. That is much better than the 20 we had to submit in previous years. So, you might have seen some of the ones that I will share in the next week or so, but hopefully, there are some new ones.
I am not sure about this first one. I may look to see if I have a clearer photo to start with. But this is meant to have an artistic feel to it.

Thanks for starting a Daily for us.
I think you are one of a few of us who will keep posting until they turn out the lights and lock the door.
Nice concept and composition. But I agree that it doesn't quite seem as good as it could be.
Maybe brightening the image - especially the whites - will give it more of a pop.
From my archives (May 2017), the petals of this sunflower are especially pleasing to me...

Greetings all! I have been absent for a few days. Going to an annual function tonight at the Historical Society. We have a Barbershop chorus, treats and a train set and village on display and of course the usual Christmas Goodies.
Agree with Dave on his comments. I was thinking to make it look like a painting.
Awesome sunflower shot Dave. In the summer on my drive down I-90 to the Black Hills there are usually many fields of sunflowers, all facing the sun.
Here is Santa and Mrs. Santa. Phone camera shot at one of our grocery stores.

Rich, that poor Santa looks like he’ll soon be roasting in that suit. That is of course unless he is the Real Santa. Mrs. Clays looks quite young, she has been taking good care of herself. Is this a recent capture? How nice that the grocery store does this for its customers.
Dave, I like how the two petals are connected by a thin spider- like thread. It looks like this happy sunflower is giving you the “OKAY” gesture. Cool.
