Saturdar & Sunday, September 9 & 10, 2023 - Luv2shoot - 09-09-2023

Welcome to the weekend gang.
Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought one of my favorite photo editing software.  I have been using the TRIAL version for several years.  Yes, you read correctly, I said "several years".  It is Dynamic Auto Painter that Peter turned me on to. Ever since I downloaded the trial version I had to enlarge the original photo to leave extra space at the bottom so that their massive LOGO would not appear on the finished manipulated photo.  Of all of the software that I owned, I like the ONE CLICK outcomes of this software the most. I figured it was time to pay this company and get the newest version.  Maybe it will revive some of my lackluster enthusiasm for my photography hobby that I have been experiencing lately.

So, what do you have in store for your weekend?
Since the Detroit Lions played Thursday night and beat the Kansas City, the SUPER BOWL champs, there are no other PRO FOOTBALL games that I will spend time watching.  I may take a couple of hours to watch U of Michigan and Michigan State play this afternoon.  Unfortunately, they are playing two unranked teams and both games are starting at 3:30.  I hate seeing U of M demolish their opponents like they always have a tendency to do, but if you are ranked #2 in the country, I guess that is what you do.

I shall be back with one of my several creations using my newly purchased photo editing software.  I first want to tweak it a bit before I share.  Have a great start to your weekend.
LORELL

PS. Here is: RED WHITE AND BLUE, just for you.

Sweet looking 'Vettes, Lorell.

I like the treatment - it creates a nice look and mood without being overdone.

edited to add:

Congratulations to the Lions for beating KC. I had picked KC to win a close game but gave Detroit a 40% chance fo get the upset. When it became clear that star KC tight end Kelce would not play I called it 50-50, but I still expected KC to win.

My early walk this morning got started about 15 minutes later than usual, and that turned out to be a good thing because on the way back the low and rich sunlight of the morning Golden Hour found this flower...

Ah, Dave, that is a sweet capture. It has a lot of mood, calm, pleasant and warm.
I like it a lot. The texture in the background is a nice addition instead of a pure black background. And it does not distract any attention to the subject, the yellow flower.

I had something very special happen to me today. I found an orchid I had never seen before. It turns out to be very rare and endangered and hasn't ever been listed for my area.
So I had a small flurry of excitement finding out which species it was and learning learning. I'll put the photo in the monthly yellow comp. Because well, it is yellow.
It has the common name of Buttercup Doubletail.

WOW Lorell! That is amazing! What a great software. I may have to buy it! A nice one to have
in your arsenal! I will still do my watercolor painting but many photos I take don't make it to the easel.

Dave, you did it again! As Lorell said a nice moody photo and presented well. The background really sets it off.

I have always liked the tear drop headlight of this era classic.

I had to laugh here, Lorell. I have done the same for many years. However, over the years I've actually bought two versions, thinking I should really pay my dues. I currently use DAP 7 (Home version I think they called it). Unfortunately I lost the software key and, after much effort in trying to get the information from the "support", I gave up. So today I continue to add the bit of canvas at the bottom, or alternatively flip the image vertically within DAP and process it again, to solve the trial logo problem.

regards - Pete

Thank you, Lorell. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

MFI, that must have been a thrill to spot and photograph something never seen before in your area. Congratulations.

Thank you, Rich. That rust colored car is gorgeous; and expertly photographed too.

Hi Peter. Many of us have had similar software mishaps. Several years ago my computer died. Not only did I lose years of photos (because the hard drive couldn't be read), but when I got a new computer and began installing apps, I wax unable to loocate my Photoshop install discs.
