June FIRST, can you believe it??????

Well, summer is definitely here.  We have temps in the high 80s and low 90s now for several days.  Finally had to turn the air conditioner on.
On my way to swim aerobics this morning and then to my SIL's for lunch.
See you all later.

From the most recent trip to PORT HURON to see the BLUE WATER BRIDGE and THOMAS EDISON MUSEUM. There is a coach train car outside of the museum that you can only enter from inside the museum, make sense?  Here is the view of the blue water bridge from inside.

Another of your grand interiors with light from outside; a terrific image. Rich colors, great values, all the other things you do so well (including composition and lines) create an appealing mood (here I get the sense of a plush luxurious room from a century or two ago).

More please!

Speaking of more, can you folks stand another floral? At least in this case (taken 2 days ago) it's somewhat different in shape and composition than my usual fare...

Good afternoon Lorell and Dave. Another image with great lighting Lorell. I like seeing the bridge through the window. Dave, I can stand all of the flower images you want to post!

DW and I were talking last night and have decided to look into a self-drive tour of Ireland and Scotland next year. So I have started watching YT videos about that. One thing I would like to try to do is to pack a little less next trip. Maybe just a checked bag and a carry on backpack. That is what DW did on this trip and it sure makes a difference, especially when you have all of you luggage to contend with. Anyway we have about 10 months to "get it planned". Actually less I guess since we will probably start booking things in the Fall of this year.

Still don't have much activity. I see a few members check in but don't always post. And looks like, for whatever reason, we have lost Patty. She was on of our most active posters when she was active. Been about 4 months since she was here.

We are going this afternoon to get our passport photos made so we can go ahead and renew them. I think it is taking about 10 weeks these days for processing and no need to wait until the last minute.

I'd quite like to go to Ireland to see the family castle.

That would be interesting indeed Peter... according to my DNA I am supposedly 21% Scottish and about 7% Irish. However, very little evidence of that shows in my genealogical research. You would think that 21% would lead back to Scotland in a few generations. Lots back to England which makes sense as 55% is England and NW Europe. So who really knows.

Dad's family came out from Ireland in 1856.
