Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Luv2shoot - 11-19-2022 Hello all and welcome to the weekend. Well, now that my club meeting is over, I can focus on my next challenge, Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, we are down to only 7 people this year because a few will be going over the in-laws. I still have a 17# turkey to bake with all the fixings . Yum. I have not made a turkey in the last year,\; looking forward to the stuffing and sweet potato casserole. For our club meeting, the special assignment for the month was MANY OF ONE OF THE SAME THING. This was a bit of a challenge to try to find something interesting to fill this topic. I took this shot the morning before the meeting as I was exiting the gym. It filled the bill nicely I thought. Have a great start to your weekend and let the holidays begin. Lorell PS. If you go back to Tuesday's thread, especially Rich and Natalie, I left another comment about the Deep Dream Manipulations, especially regarding Image #3 (the manip of the small mausoleum) . You might find it interesting. PPS. Left some comments on yesterday's thread. Sorry that I came late to yesterday's great photo gallery. TITLE: Much Safer Than Riding In The Streets RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Man From Ironbark - 11-19-2022 That's a lot of bikes that don't go anywhere, Lorell. ![]() Here is the entrance to my driveway.
RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Dreamin - 11-19-2022 Hi, Lorell, yes, that does fit the bill nicely!! Do you spincycle? I had one, gave it away...It was a good one, commercial, but it was not good for my knees.....Not the kind of workout the physical therapist suggested. Peter, I've been looking at the news. WOW! So much water, yet people were driving through it...how could they see the roads? Anyone watching Buffalo, NY? 6 feet of snow in areas...Oh, my goodness. AND I bet schools did not close (ha ha) We get an inch and schools close!! It's going to be 23° tonight. That should kill things off.......I took this shot just a few days ago, mushrooms still coming out in the sunshine. They will be done, I'm afraid. took it with my phone, blew out the whites.... ![]() RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Man From Ironbark - 11-19-2022 Yes Natalie. The inland sea which was first postulated by the early explorers, is back at last. Luckily, I'm on a small island. Many places look like this RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Luv2shoot - 11-20-2022 Natalie, that is a nice composition. We only got up to 30 degrees today but the wind was whipping and it felt much colder. We had such a warm/hot fall and not in an instant we have freezing temps. My body can't get use to it. I am freezing when I go outside now. My friend had knee replacement and her surgeon told her to use the bicycle all the time, but maybe it was a recliner bicycle. And NO, Natalie, I do not spin-cycle. That looks like pure torture to me. I remember about 15 years ago I dropped about 35 pounds and I would work out bike in the basement. I was very good at peddling it, but I hated every minute of it. Peter, That is a whole lot of water. I remember when you were suffering from a drought. It doesn't seem that long ago. LORELL RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Man From Ironbark - 11-20-2022 "We'll all be rooned said Hanrahan". I thiink I've shown you that poem before. It talks of the various dry as dust or wet as or everything is burning.. Australian weather and the response, we'll all be rooned.. This is the fringe lily. ![]() ![]()
RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Don - 11-20-2022 Good morning all. Stationary bikes are much safer indeed, Lorell. We had one for a while but never used it so eventually gave it away. Not nearly as nice as those. Nice reflections in the water Peter. Hopefully it doesn't get to be a problem for you. Natalie, nice mushroom photo. One of my favorite subjects. Below I have posted a photo that was one of my entries in the Macro division for the GNPA weekend. It didn't place. Nice variety of flowers and insects Peter. RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Dreamin - 11-20-2022 Lorell, stationary bikes and spin cycles are a whole different ballgame......I was doing rehab on my knee on a staionary bike....Spin cycles pedals do NOT stop when you stop pedaling and you could get hurt.....you have to pedal them down.....where as like a real bike, a stationary bike if you stop pedaling you can keep your feet on the pedals...... Very nice selection of flowers Peter. So sharp!! That third one just popped right out at me! Nice!! Don, that's a good one....ants are fun to try to capture.... It's blowing like crazy outside....and cold. Supposed to go down to 23° tonight....I'm ready for winter to be over!! RE: Saturday & Sunday, November 19 & 20, 2022 - Man From Ironbark - 11-20-2022 Nice mushies Don. On my Flickr theres a lot of mushroom shots. These paper daisies can make some interesting colours.
