Tuesday, Nov 8, 2022 - Don - 11-08-2022
Good morning all - it is still pretty warm here. Right now it is a balmy 68 and only a little after 0600.
On the schedule for today is to vote and take in a movie this afternoon. I need to take the bike out for a short spin at least to keep the battery topped up.
This image is almost a cliche because so many like this have been done, but it is almost a necessity when visiting the mountains. There are so many streams.

Good Morning, Don.
DH and I are about to get ready to do our civic duty. Hopefully, the lines won't be too long.
Going to make it fun and go out for lunch afterward.
Don, your composition is outstanding. You have so carefully composed this perfectly photographed image. I enjoyed the close up view.
Hope you all enjoy this day.

Thanks for starting the Daily for us, Don.
You commented that photos of cascading water are common, but IMO few are better than yours. Great composition: the COI is well positioned and emphasized and the rocks and darkest values frame the image well, keeping the eye inside the frame. And I like the slightly more intense orange in one area..
Hi Lorell. Nice treatment making for a fine image. (Looks like maybe a similar treatment to the one you may have used in the wonderful image yesterday.
We've had light precipitation for the past two days. When I started my morning walk there was intermittent mist. But on the return leg the rain intensified and the wind really kicked up. I got home soaked.
Not ideal shooting conditions, but I managed one of a flower that the wind carried and deposited here. I have no idea where it came from because I have not seen flowers of this type anywhere near where it ended up.

Good Day all!
Don, maybe a cliche but a beautiful one. Excellent composition and choice of shutter speed.
Lorell, excellent photo and manip. Today it could be titled "On The Way To Vote!"
Dave, send rain! Well composed photo. The contrasting colors, raindrops and the diagonal stem all add up to a winner!
Here is a golden oldie. Our WWII memorial at the state capitol in Pierre, (Pronounced Peer) SD.

But will everybody accept the result of the election?
If not then you may as well not bother to have elections and go back to the rule of the fastest gun.
