Good morning all. For a minute I thought it was Friday but nope, not yet. Doesn't matter much these days anyway.
Exciting news yesterday, at least for me. I got my shipment of 100 new CDs. I'm already packing up a couple to send to friends in San Antonio - one of which has co-write credit on one of the songs on the CD. Listening to one of the CDs this minute just to make sure everything sounds OK. So far it does. It is already showing up on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and a few others. I'm also using a site called hearnow so folks can listen if they want to. Not photo related but there you go.

Tonight DW has a birthday dinner for some friends so I am on my own, so I plan on making Red Pepper Pasta, which Quint posted the recipe for a while back. DW is not a fan of anchovies but it sounded good to me. I'll need to make a grocery run to pick up some red bell peppers and fresh parsley but I have everything else.

We finally got a good drenching rain last evening. It was a long time coming especially considering how toasty everything was. We are supposed to get more rain today, I am not complaining. We need as much as we can get.
Well, Don, I have your delightful tunes playing in the background as I write this text. Did you write all of those songs? That is really good. How do you get inspired? I have not yet made it through every song, but I like Perfect Girl, Ghost Town, and the Hills of Virginny (cool story).

Good morning Lorell and Dave. Thanks Lorell. I used to write a lot, today not so much. Hard to say what inspires though. I remember getting the idea for Hills of Virginny one year when we were driving through VA and I was looking at the hills and wondering if there were any moonshine stills up there. Ghost Town was written right after the start of the pandemic when no one was really sure what the outcome would ultimately be. It morphed from that. I did write all the songs, did all the instruments except for Rain in the Desert when I got someone else to do the electric guitar. He's a very good player, no way I could have done what he did. And I co-wrote Clueless Fool with a friend in San Antonio, one year at the music festival.
I really like the way that horse turned out. Like a painting.
Made a quick run to the grocery store and picked up some red bell pepper and fresh Italian parsley so I can make dinner tonight. Looking forward to it.

Up early here and fed the cats. .05 " rain last night and feels good out. Not as much as you, Lorell, but it kept the night dust down.
That horse is really of a different color. Reminds me of my horse that had a star and snip of white on his face.
Good luck with the pasta, Don. Don't mention the anchovies but they impart an important flavor that most will love. I checked your songs out and will listen more later. Great stuff.

Nothing from me today. Maybe tomorrow after my trip to Main Street tonight. We are holding the annual pre-Sturgis Rally party. I hope to get a few keepers. Seven blocks of Main will be blocked off for it.

Great sunflower shot Dave. I really enjoy your flower photos.
I watched the film, Rich, and I must admit I've never really thought about going to Sturgis... until I watched it. The scenery was fantastic. Still not sure I would go during the rally, but I would certainly go for the scenery! Of course the rally would have its own kind of enjoyment I'm sure.
