Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Dave - 06-14-2022 I guess I have the honor of starting the Daily again. No new photos, so here's one from earlier in the month - it's what's left over after a poppy blossom has finished it's beautiful display and dropped off. I think the unusual structures that remain are quite interesting... RE: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Luv2shoot - 06-14-2022 Hello from up north. We arrived safely at around 3 pm but was alerted by the campground office that serious and possible destructive weather was headed our way. In the warning was listed hail, high winds (70-80 mph) and possible tornado. We sat around here for another hour looking at weather maps, warnings, etc. When we started to hear thunder rumbling in the distance, I decided that this is the last place I wanted to be if any of storm predictions comes through our trailer park. So, We got in the car and 30 minutes later we were checking in at a Country Inn Suites hotel in Big Rapids , Mi. I was very relieved and relaxed and feeling safe. It appears that the storms never touched down here or even at the hotel. We had a good laugh this morning though and will add it to another fun memory. Thanks, Dave, for the interesting but perky looking start to our Tuesday daily. It reminds me of a skinny ballerina with a tutu on. Got to see if I can figure a way to post photos small enough in size from my photo to here. Till later, Lorell RE: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Michael - 06-14-2022 Lorell, I am glad you made it safely!!! Dave, what a beautiful shot. The yellow against the green really gives it a 3D look, and just a touch of pink really brings it to life. RE: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Don - 06-14-2022 Thanks for starting the daily, Dave. Yes, interesting structure left behind. Glad you were sensible and went to a hotel Lorell. Severe weather is nothing to fool around with. At least it passed by entirely but you never know. Hail and high winds - ugh. Speaking of weather... we had some hot days in Texas and never really got any rain. Some days were hotter than this. It is raining here right now and the temp is down to 78 from the low 90's. I rode about 100 miles this morning on the motorcycle and it was getting pretty warm by the time I got back home. But I did get home before the rain. By the way, anyone heard from Patty lately? I can't remember the last time she was on, unless I missed a post (which is possible). Edit: I just looked and it appears she hasn't been on since the end of April. Hope everything is OK. RE: Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Michael - 06-14-2022 find it depressing that Texas is cooler than the South Carolina Midlands right now.. I hope everything is all right with Patty. |
