Wednesday 31st Dec or NYE - Man From Ironbark - 12-30-2025 That's what it is here. The last afternoon of the year. So I'll get in early with the Happy New Year thing. The fireworks start after dark. Took daughter and granddaughters out to the local National Park for Boxing day. 24˚C. A beautiful day for our summer. Normally 45˚c on Christmas. Dry out there though. Saw two monitors (goannas). One, the Lace monitor. All of two metres long.  and two, the smaller approx one and a half metres. Gould's monitor or samd goanna. Here utilising an old wombat burrow. Fascinating creatures: widely distributed, occupying many different niches, a wide range of sizes, a variety of prey and behaviors. May 2026 be a good year for us all.
