Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 - Dave - 11-04-2025 This past Sunday I woke up early, as usual. A few hours later, noticing that the clock read 05:15, I fixed myself a light breakfast then set off on my usual morning in the predawn in the dark. But I had forgotten to reset the clock to accommodate the new Daylight Saving time and had 30 minutes to kill until the grocery store opened I used those 30 minutes to take some photos in the darkness. Here are some pumpkins left over from Halloween... And here's a shot of a favorite scene - behind the mall, featuring strong light here and their revealing the nature of the utilitarian and stark look behind this small shopping mall. RE: Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 - Rich - 11-05-2025 I like them both Dave but the first one has great composition! The second one has a feeling of loneliness. RE: Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 - Dave - 11-05-2025 Thank you Rich. The camera did a good job in the low light conditions, especially on the second one. I've taken a number of photos behind the mall, and many of them remind me of artist Edward Hopper's style - often quite dark and moody. |
