Weekender 9/10 August 2025 - Man From Ironbark - 08-08-2025

Again I'm starting it early but it is Saturday here and there has been little happening all week by the lack of posts.
So Maybe there will be some weekend posters?

This is one of my trees. Maybe I planted too many trees but this one seemed to be looking for light and has done some bending. It is a naturally straggly multi-stemmed tree with a lignotuber, the description of a mallee tree. However it may be several hundred years before it takes pride of place. It is approximately 37 years old now.

I decided that it was suitable for this treatment, which is simply inverted but has a credible spooky look.

MFI, that's a beautiful image!

Strong composition, good values, and your treatment is great.

Very well conceived and executed.

Here's a pleasant little scene from a trip to our Central Park about 2 weeks ago...

Thanks mate. Smile
Your bit of greenery looks good too. If you are talkiing about The Central Park, That's a place I'd love to experience.

Thanks MFI.

To be clear, my photo was taken in Huntington Beach's Central Park in southern California, not the more famous Central Park of New York city.

Thought so. Wink

There must be a number of Central Parks.

Wife and I were out for a drive and a walk in the bush. Had a few items of interest in the nature of being where there are few if any humans. On the drive we passed a farmer's dam or tank as they are often called. A hole in the ground that holds water captured from rainfall runoff.
There were a large number of whistling ducks on the dam bank. Probably up to three hundred. Not a commonly seen sight.
At least three times what is in this shot and there's about 130 here
