Greetings Friends! A beautiful day in South Dakota! Hope all is well with everybody.
As I sit at my computer, the window faces a large empty lot with a drainage ditch. There was a family of rabbits frolicking in the field. Fun to watch.
We had a small car show on our First Friday on Main last week. Here is one that was new to me.

Thanks for starting a Daily Rich.

Good photos of a cool car. Do you know the make & model?

And the blue & white one looks interesting too.

Here's another shot of the yellow/orange rose from yesterday. I intentionally left the crack in the stucco in the frame, hoping it would add some interest and sort of anchor the rose from the top of the image, indicating that it was hanging down. I can't decide if including the crack benefits or harms the photo.

You all have yourselves a good day or evening.

Thanks Dave! They usually put signs on the window for a competition show but this was not one. In looking at some mid-30's Ford it looks closest to a 1937 Ford Sedan.

Beautiful Rose and well presented.

I took it into Photoshop and removed the crack. I liked that better as the crack doesn't compete with the rest of the image. I then removed just the pink colored crack and I liked that too. So the definitive answer is; maybe!

Everything leads down to the flower anyway.
Neat car. Is it a 36 Ford?

Rich, I like these photos especially with the old worn wooden background. That adds a very nice touch.
I think Rich is on to something, just take out the pink part of the crack.

My idea would be to crop in from both the left and the right changing this to a portrait orientation. Cut in from the right to just about the lowest hanging green leaf. Cut in from the left stopping just before the edge of the leaf sticking out on the left side. DO NOT make any more crops. You will have negative space on the bottom, the crack in the wall is still there but I think it helps to put more emphasis on the rose and remove some the leaves in the upper right hand corner which I do not think adds to the composition. It is just a thought.

Thanks Lorell! Yes the background was a plus for the photo. In my teen years that area was a used car lot for the Ford dealer across the street Recently it was a bar, restaurant with an outdoor entertainment area in the rear. It was called the Back 40. Recently been sold and under a remodel. No one knows what it will be.
