Good day or evening, Foto Friends.
A few days ago while grocery shopping my wife saw a poppy she liked. Cost just $5.00.
Yesterday I noticed that, along with 6 or more unopened buds, there was one pretty blossom standing tall right in the middle. The light was pretty good - neither too harsh nor too darkly overcast...

I believe that is an Icelandic Poppy. Oreomecon nudicaulis, synonym Papaver nudicaule, the Iceland poppy, is a boreal flowering plant. Native to subpolar regions of Asia and North America. Hybridized in many countries. Australis
