Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Don - 12-09-2023 This month (and year) is rapidly passing. Some landscapes from NM. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Man From Ironbark - 12-09-2023 That last image looks like here. Except that after a few days at and above 104˚F, the grass has either blown away or started burning. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Don - 12-09-2023 Thanks Peter. I think the temp was about 50F that day so no chance of burning, at least not from the weather. The brush was pretty dry though. Those three are likely to be the last I post from the trip. Hardly worth the effort to resize and process to post. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Man From Ironbark - 12-10-2023 Well today's Max was 106.7˚F. 41.5˚C. The rest of the week may be slightly cooler but still remaining mostly dry. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Rich - 12-10-2023 Awesome landscape photography Don! Great reflections on the 2nd photo! Purple Mountains Majesty, beautiful! Some photos of our frosty trees last week. Shot at sunrise from the balcony of my condo, shooting to the NW. Unusual to have pink skies at sunrise here but it sure made for an interesting photo! RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Adamphotoman - 12-10-2023 Rich, Frosty trees and hardly any snow....Good vaiations on the theme ! RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Dave - 12-10-2023 Three impressive photos, Don: Great purple from the cloud shadows. I love the flooded tree. Effective complementary color interaction. Nasty conditions, MFI. Stay safe. Very nice images, Rich. The first looks like a combination of "normal" and B&W infrared/ Unusual but nice pinks in the other two. Hi Grant. A Canada Goose photographed in 2017 and newly processed... RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Adamphotoman - 12-10-2023 Dave, Here is an image of our late Sophe. She lived till 15. It took 2 years before we got new dogs. And the 2 new Lhassa Apsos. We call them the Barker Brothers. Hope this does not dig up too much pain and saddness. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Dave - 12-10-2023 Grant, I enjoyed your photos of Sophe and the Barker Brothers. No, they didn't bring sad memories. But I still find myself about to open the front door to let Pippin outside or checking to see if his water bowl is full. I think in a month or so my wife will be searching the SoCal animal shelters for another rescue dog. Not sure how I feel about that – if we adopted a young dog that could live 10 years or more, odds are that my wife and I would be gone, leaving the dog facing another stay at a shelter. RE: Saturday/Sunday Dec 9/10, 2023 - Adamphotoman - 12-10-2023 Dave, and I enjoyed your Pippin pictures. Funny, We often drive to another small town [Unity Sask]. On the way we see a turn off to Phippen, and it always makes me think of Pippin. I especially liked the storys and pictures of your other late dogs. They struck a chord. You managed to post them in a timely fashion. |
