Friday Jan 27 2023. - Man From Ironbark - 01-27-2023 Today I showed my granddaughters where a bearded dragon had laid her eggs some 60 days before. Today they got to hold some baby dragons before releasing them again. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Dave - 01-27-2023 Excellent photos, MFI. I imagine grandfather enjoyed the encounter as much as granddaughters did. The last of my shots of Ron's faltering roses, taken 01/24/2023... RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Man From Ironbark - 01-27-2023 The roses need a good prune. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Luv2shoot - 01-27-2023 Oh, Peter, that had to be such a thrill for the girls. I guess the timing of their visit was perfect. So, did they watch the babies hatch? How exciting and well captured images. Dave, I think a little pruning would benefit those bushes. Maybe they wouldn't notice if you did a little snipping. Here is what it looks like in my backyard. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Adamphotoman - 01-27-2023 Nice light Lorell, Peter Cool little dragon [lizard?] From last week. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Man From Ironbark - 01-27-2023 I went back out this morning before the granddaughters got up and found a new one just hatched. I could take some photos of the dragon without the girls. This babe is about three inches long at best. More at Here Be Dragons on my Flickr. Have to scroll to bottom of page for latest on the dragons. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Dreamin - 01-27-2023 That is so interesting, Peter....we don't have them here!! It must have excited your grand children! My neice teaches school and in her class for several years they had one of those bearded dragons....She would bring it home for the summers....I got to take a few images.....they are so handsome! Thanks for sharing! Dave, interesting image, it sure represents old age, and how I am feeling right now! Lorell, Grant, I appreciate the images, but please keep the snow there, don't send it here!! RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Adamphotoman - 01-28-2023 We promise not to send you snow as long as you keep your Hurricanes. RE: Friday Jan 27 2023. - Dreamin - 01-28-2023 UGH....hurricanes do some damage, but not like tornadoes!! I guess I'd take a snow storm to a hurricane anytime, too. I've not experienced a hurricane. I have been very close to tornadoes (and one time my Dad and his best friend had to literally run for the lives from one while golfing.) Yes both tornadoes and hurricanes are frightening, but for me there is something absolutely unnerving about earthquakes. The ground (aka Terra Firma) just isn't supposed to move. One time during a round of golf with a friend the birds suddenly went silent. I heard a soft rumbling that quickly intensified, and I looking back down the fairway I saw the wave undulating towards us; when it reached us it knocked me to my knees.
